Reflective pause

Took the opportunity to attend a concert by The Blackwood Brothers Quartet, last night. Program was sponsored by the Union Gospel Mission here in town.

Pretty good turn out for a payday Friday night. The nose bleed seats were pretty much empty, but the rest of the auditorium was pretty well filled up. There are not very many opportunities for me to attend with my mother and both of her sisters. We had a great time.

Although this group is not made up of the original singers, the Blackwood Brothers started singing publicly back in 1934, they maintained the level of harmony and spirituality that all would be able to remember from the days of yore.

The two hours were very refreshing. I would highly recommend everybody find the time to attend a good southern gospel concert at some time; you really will find your spiritual batteries recharged.
