Go ahead, make my day

Dreamin as the day is long...
I recall the words of Dirty Harry, as he asked a goblin, your prolly wondering, did he shoot six or five.
I have a Smith & Wesson 686, with a four inch barrell, and seven round cylinder.
Awesome, little puppy.
Go ahead and keep count, and when you count six rounds fired, guess what? Nuther goblin down.
And now, I see this beauty with an eight round cylinder...

Green eyed monster

Michelle Malkin has a stimulus package on her blog this morning that everyone should consider.

Good eats

Last nite, I pulled out a recipe from Karen for Red Beans n Rice.
Yeah, "broke da mout!"
She definitely do know how to get to a man's heart through his stomach.
As one once sed: I guarantole you, it some kinda gooooood!

Linkin to thinkin

Took a look at Mostly Cajun this morning as usual, and found a great post What's gonna happen soon? causing a pausing to think.
I know, I don't get paid to think, anymore, but sometimes, ya just have ta exercise your gray matter a little.

Loyalty

On Monday, I came online to pay some bills.
While attempting to pay my Sprint bill, I lost broadband connection, twice!
After the second lost connection, I was able to finalize payment.
Then I found two payments were authorized.
I called Sprint and was walked through a restart of my broadband.
I was informed that my area here in South Dakota does not have a Sprint broadband tower available, therefore, I am connected by dial up to another provider's tower.
So, they advertise hi-speed data transfer, when in reality it is low-speed dial up.
And there is nothing Sprint can do if the connection is dropped.
Subsequently, I got a customer service rep on the phone and explained to her what had happened.
The rep informed me that she had spoken with her supervisor, and the supervisor was in the process of refunding the payment to my bank account.
Lo, and behold!
Here it is Friday, and neither my Sprint account nor my bank account reflect any refund.
Well, I called customer service again, and was informed by Danielle, that she could find no entry on my account regarding overpayment.
She also promised me that the refund would be processed.
Now, I have had my Sprint account since June of 2000.
All these years I have not had any inkling of wanting to change providers.
Well, now that money is getting tighter; and I review my association with Sprint, I have to admit that Sprint really does not have much in the way of customer loyalty.
My account is set up for 400 minutes, and when I use less than that, I get no credit; however, let me go five minutes over the 400 minutes and I receive an additional charge.
The Marine Corps taught me that loyalty and respect are two way streets.
I'll wait and see if Danielle is successful in getting the refund through, and then I need to really assess whether Sprint's customer loyalty is loyalty at all.

Thinken agin w/o getten paid for it...

Two definitions of words I like to use.
Poli-tics: Poli is understood to mean "many"...
tics is understood to mean "blood suckers"...
poli-tics to my military mind is "many blood suckers"...
Con-gress: Con is the shortened version of convict...
To my military mind, what we currently have in con-gress is criminal...
Additionally, Con is the opposite of pro.
But to my military mind con-gress IS the opposite of pro-gress...

Rave on, its a crazy feelin

WOW!!!
It is Thursday already, and I ain't writ a thing...
I guess partly cuz I am really tired of the presidential campaign that has been going on for so long. Seems like all the news is about HRC and BHO.
Now that the primary season is over, we are being inundated with JMc, also.
'Sides, haven't had any inspiration lately.
Radio sez the tornado watch for Sioux Falls has been allowed to expire.
Ben talkin bout 2 to 3 inches of rain per hour.
Still lotsa farmers ain't gotten into the fields yet.
Guess that means there is prolly gonna be a lot less crops comin out next harvest season, which is prolly gonna raise commodity prices way above whatever the majority of us can afford.
Guess you all are pretty happy about the alternate fuels you have foisted upon the rest of us in the name of the almighty god of environmentalism.
The most expensive commodity in this country is I.G.N.O.R.A.N.C.E.!!
Now, some of the blame has to go to the poli-tic-ians who lie through their teeth in order to asuage their pet projects and make sure there is plenty of money for their reelction.
But more blame should be centered on each and every one of us who refuse to learn from history.
Yeah, I remember when I ran for a local school board position.
Our country was in the throes of trying to improve edgemacshun.
You know, the active school board was pushing outcome based edgemacashun.
Well, those who voted for this dumbin down of the skool system, are now reapin what they have sewn.
One of my fave bloggers is Mamacita. She recently posted a rant against smokers, including asking them to seal up their homes so their stinky smoke smell didn't get out.
Well, we have some laws in some of the cities in this country that make it illegal for a person to smell smoke coming from your abode.
Those of us who have been around for a number of decades, should remember the events going on in the Soviet Socialist Republic.
It was socially acceptable to tell on your neighbor, about anything, in order to keep yourself out of trouble with the authorities.
Well, guess what!?@!
We now have cameras at intersections to record driving behavior.
We have doctors asking children if their are handguns in their house.
We have children being expelled for carrying empty, used cartridges.
FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!
We now have children who can tell us how to put a condom on a banana or a cucumber, but cannot tell us anything about how this country came to be.
Well, I am at the age that I have more years behind me than I have ahead of me.
But I have two children who are young adults, and I don't wish for them to have the kind of country we have watched disintegrate on the front pages of history.
Did I say that IGNORANCE is the most expensive commodity we have in this country?
B.E.L.I.E.V.E. I.T.!!!!
Prolly the saddest part of the whole thing is, I spent 29 years of my life, laying my life on the line so this country would continue to be the land of the free and the home of the brave.
Talk about being short-sheeted!!
Come on Scotty, beam me up!

Thinken when i still ain't getten paid for it

I was cogitating on mypost on HRC saving Sosh Security...

My mental gymnastics took me someplace that I had not thot of before.

Latest estimates are that the Republicans will lose around 30 seats in the senate, and 14 in the House. I understand this to mean the Dems will have an overwhelming majority in con-gress.

Stay with me here, while I roll this around...

Dems are the super-majority in con-gress, and HRC gets elected president...

HRC says, "Gang, we need to take the Sosh security gig off the general fund and put it into a lock box, cuz, that's what the electorate elected me for."

I can just hear it now, "Reelect HRC cuz, she was able to do what the Republican president could not do; she saved Sosh security! She deserves to have a second presidential term."

The really big difference between a rut and a grave, is the rut don't got no ends...

Christians beware

Pamela at Atlas Shrugs has posted an interesting article Christian Preachers Face Arrest in No Go Zones.

So, we have come to this? Sharing your Christian faith is a hate crime, while sharing Islamist faith is not?

Beam me up Scotty, you know!
